White, Skilled Workers Excluded from Federal Construction Projects

Robert Reich, the hobbit-like Economic Advisor to President Barack Obama, is calling for the exclusion of white and skilled workers from federally funded infrastructure improvements included in the recent stimulus bill. One would think that the construction of our nation's highways and bridges would go to the most highly skilled firms with the lowest bid--regardless of the color of their skin. But apparently that kind of stance is too progressive for the Obama Administration. One step forward, two steps back.

Our formwork equipment is designed to be used by unskilled labor. The one thing you must do is get out of bed in the morning. They don't put themselves together. I'm with you, the contracts should go to the most highly skilled firms with the lowest bids.

I do not have a link but I have seen for a few years now that the white race is a minority as if you were born here you just get to contribute and all others reep the benefits. I am sure worried of what this country is coming to.
