EH Systems Opens New Facility, Expands Capabilities

Jon Cooper, and Bill Stipanovich from EH Systems, Mac McDonald of Andover Capital GroupToday EH Systems (New Braunfels, TX) opened its new 103,000-sq.ft. facility where the company will manufacture and distribute structural insulated panels (SIPs), one of the most energy efficient building products on the market. Earlier this year EH Systems purchased equipment from Pulte Homes, requiring a relocation to a larger facility. The new equipment and facility will allow the company to quadruple its production capacity, making EH Systems one of the top four SIP manufacturers in the country.

A SIP typically consists of two sheets of oriented strand board (OSB) that sandwich a rigid sheet of expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam that is coated with a structural adhesive. Buildings constructed with SIPs are more energy efficient, stronger and can be built in less time than traditional stick-built construction.

“We are pleased with our new facility and equipment and excited about the future of EH Systems,” says Bill Stipanovich, chief operating officer of EH Systems. “In addition to providing our customers with jumbo panels, we will be the first SIP manufacturer in Texas to offer machine-cut panels. Our automated cutting system produces a more precise, better quality product than panels cut in the field, resulting in additional framing time savings.”

EH Systems can now provide customers with 4’ x 24’ standard panels, 9’ x 24’ jumbo panels and the company can ship 9’ x 32’ wall sections. EH Systems currently distributes primarily to single family home builders, and the jumbo panels will allow the company to expand into other markets, such as institutional, governmental, commercial and multi-family construction.

“We currently provide SIP panels to customers throughout Texas and along the Mississippi and Louisiana Gulf Coast. We hope to quickly expand our distribution throughout other parts of the country and double our employment over the next two years,” says Stipanovich. “Our growth is exciting and we know we can satisfy the increasing marketplace demand for a greener building product.”

EH Systems is now accepting orders for Oct. 1 delivery.
