Police Arrest Suspects After University of South Florida Lockdown

Two men are in custody after several warnings were sent to students of a possible gunman on the University of South Florida's Tampa campus.

A police spokesman told the Tampa Tribune a man stood up on a campus bus and said he was the one authorities were looking for. He told them he had a bomb, but later said it was just a hoax, spokeswoman Laura McElroy told the newspaper.

Kanye West cancels American tour

A North American tour by Kanye West has been cancelled just weeks after he was criticised for storming on stage at an awards ceremony.

The rap star has experienced widespread negative publicity since he interrupted country star Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.

He told her Beyonce should have won the best female award instead.

No reason has been given but West has admitted he needed to take time off to grieve for his mother.

Michelle Obama didn't waste any time impressing International Olympic Committee members.

As the first lady walked through the hotel lobby Wednesday, she spotted IOC member Nicole Hoevertsz, who only a day earlier had been appointed permanent secretary of Aruba's Council of Ministers.

Financing building systmens needs

Banks in my area say NO going in the door to construction lending. I know they are thinking stick building spec homes and they are loaded with forclosures. But when I say No that is not what I do. I show them pictures of million dollar home and say on a 2,000 sq ft or less we need about 35% of the contract when we get the building permit and another 30% in 30 days and we will go to closing within the next 30 days which will be paid for by the clients mortgage. Reporting from Washington - Thousands of Muslims, prostrating themselves in prayer, gathered just feet from the Capitol on Friday for "A Day of Islamic Unity," an event intended to showcase what organizers called the "peace, beauty and solidarity" of Islam.
