Hennie Botes Wins SA's Best Man Award
Mr Hennie Botes, CEO of moladi, was awarded Science and Technologies Best Man for his outstanding contribution to providing quality and affordable housing to thousands of people across the world. Hennie is recognised for his continued efforts in innovation and the search to advance construction methods in order to improve housing service delivery to impact and improve the lives of millions of poverty stricken families.
The annual South African Men’s Health Best Man Awards were held in Johannesburg on Thursday, 11 June. Best Man, celebrating its sixth year, “…recognises today's true leaders who are having a positive impact in South Africa…They represent the finest of South African men, men who are actively using their passion and expertise to make a difference in our country." comments Ridwaan Bawa Men's Health editor.
The finalists for Best Man were selected from the 500 public nominations received in each category, which was narrowed down to 3 finalists by a panel of specialists. The winners were chosen by the readers of Men’s Health Magazine and visitors to the Men’s Health Website.
Hennie has been instrumental to the continued success of moladi since its inception in 1986 and has, in every way, been a global pioneer in the development of alternative housing construction.
